Our Adoption Procedure
- The moment we are contacted about a dog, we ask where the prospective adopter is located such that we can determine the most efficient way of proceeding with the adoption process.
- We will also proceed with a short intake interview. We will be asking a few questions to be sure that the dog will be come in a warm nest and that you will be a happy dog parent once you have your new family member.
- After the intake we will plan a home visit. This is important for both sides: -For the adopter (you) to know who they are cooperating with and for us it is important as to verify the information of the intake form. If all is ok we send the adoption contract to be signed, adoption fees to be paid and for our team to start preparing your best friend (microchips, vaccinations, rabbies shot, neutering/spraying, deworming, defleeing, travelling and adoption documents, flight booking and if needed further blood analysis etc).
- Following the above steps, our team in Cyprus will reserve the dog and they will start preparing the dog for his/her new adventure. You will be kept updated thought his time about both the dog’s wellbeing as well as, his preparations, flight information etc.
- If the prospective adopter is in the UK or Scotland we provide information of the organizations with which we cooperate to take over the adoption process.
- If the prospective adopters are in Cyprus, the director and/or shelter director of the organization begin the adoption screening process (initially by phone and then through a home check) and then we finalize the adoption process. We fist however request from adopters in Cyprus, to come and meet the dog

- Are you willing to take dog training classes if needed?
- Owning a dog can be expensive
- Before you take your new dog home, make sure you have all the basic supplies. These include a dog collar, (you should be able to put two fingers between the collar and the dog’s neck), ID tag.
